Plumbing Systems
When working with the plumbing systems, there are three types of water that go through the systems: the potable water that is drinkable, the second type is black water that contains sewage, and lastly gray water that is waste water from sinks, bathrooms, and the washing machine.
There are many different types of pieces used in plumbing systems, such as septic tanks, which often have a sewer treatment plan. Plumbing fixtures, such as toilets, are the largest users of water in the plumbing system. There are many different types of toilets, such as low-flow toilets, high-efficiency toilets, and dual-flush toilets, that are found in various restaurants. This type of toilet allows for the option of using more or less water if required.
Some urinals used in men's bathrooms come in two different types: waterless urinals, which don't require water, and low-water urinals. Since most sinks in commercial settings are starting to use automatic sinks, and in residential settings, the use of manual sinks is being replaced by those that the homeowner manually shuts off, they also fall under gray water use since the water that comes off the sinks can be reused for toilet water.
